Aroa complex is built in an amazing, unspoilt part of north Zakynthos. In total harmony with the surrounding nature and with absolute respect to the environment we follow a series of eco-friendly practices that ensure that we minimize our carbon footprint and support sustainability.
For the creation of Aroa complex we managed to merge the authentic Zakynthian architecture, the unadorned industrial order and the elegant eco-friendly aesthetics that defines our philosophy. As a result, all spaces in Aroa complex are hospitable, full of natural light and completely in tune with their surroundings.
The materials, the earth-toned decoration, the magnificent infinity view, the natural air-conditioning and the ample natural light will soon make you feel at home, with our personnel, ever ready to cater for your accommodation needs throughout your stay.
The facilities are fully harmonized with the “wild” side of Zakynthos. Minimal design with Greek features, which respect the architecture of the island, create the ultimate destination for eco-living paradise. At the same time we offer to our guests a more “primitive” experience, but without the lack of modern comforts. Stone and wood blend harmoniously and create unique spaces for your stay. make you feel that you are in a secret paradise.
Our Practises
- Our complex is built following the latest Energy Building Management Systems on sustainable building design and operations
- We use sufficient energy conservation appliances in all our retreats
- Water is rather scarce in Zakynthos and conserving it is important; thus we encourage on efficient water usage and we have invested in water saving technologies
- We recycle the water of all our infinity pools
- We manage our consumed resources in our constant effort to reduce waste wherever practical
- We are working with local farms and producers in order to use seasonal, locally sourced and organic ingredients on our menus
- Priority is given to electronic and digital communication instead of paper/print
- When hiring private contractors, those with green or eco-friendly policies are preferred
